What is a personal CPI?
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) measures average price changes over time. But everyone spends differently. Your personal CPI re-weights official inflation data based on your actual spending habits, showing how inflation truly affects your budget.
Where does the data come from?
We use official CPI data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (U.S.), Office for National Statistics (UK), Statistics Canada, and Eurostat HICP.
Is my data private?
We keep data collection limited and do not require an account to use the calculator. Information is processed to deliver results, maintain the service, and improve the overall experience. See the Privacy Policy for details.
How is this different from the official CPI?
The official CPI uses fixed weights based on average consumer spending. If you spend more on housing than average, or less on transportation, your personal inflation rate will differ from the headline number.
Can I compare different time periods?
